Z pohraničného Melniku v Bulharsku nás čakala dlhá cesta vlakom do slávnych Atén, kapitolu Grécka . Po ceste som popri pasovej kontrole s povolením pohraničiarov odskočil po zopár fliaš koly a vody - staničná vybavenosť nebola nič moc.
Cestou sme sa zoznámili so zaujímavými portugalskými študentmi Miquelom a Katarinou - prisadli sme k nim do kupé. Katarina študovala cez Erazmus v Ostrave a tak sme si dobre pokecali. Ukázalo sa , že títo pozitívne naladení ľudkovia budú Simonovi spoločníkmi i počas jeho pobytu v Grécku.
Počíta sa i zastávka v Tesaloniky, kde sme mali na prestup asi polhodinku. Majú odomňa palec hore, pretože bolo možné na skrátenie času zahrať si stolný futbal priamo v priestoroch stanice / hoci za poplatok /. Nadšení juho európania tam výskali , pretáčali a grilovali ostošesť /pozn. rotácia hráčov, ktorá je pod úroveň každého skill kalcheto hráča /. K tejto kvalitnej hre som sa teda nepridal :)
Ako obyčajne, mal som problém zaspať v idúcom vlaku, krátili sme si teda čas na Simonovom tablete hrou Alchýmia, ktorá mala síce ďaleko od reality, ale aspoň pobavila. Keď nastala únava, vytiahol som zo zásob Buharský Merlot červené , podelil sa s ostatnými a zdriemol som aspoň na polhodinku. Zvyšok cesty som sa viacmenej otáčal zo strany na stranu a závidel spokojne odfukujúcim okolo mňa.
Po nekonečnej ceste sme vystúpili v Aténach o piatej ráno a Portugalci so Simonom sa pred stanicou pustili do hľadania čo najlacnejšieho hostelu, nakoľko bola už dostupná wifi /zavčasu však :-D / . My sme sa snažili skontaktovať s Kristinou. Omz mala záhadne rýchlo vybitý mobil a tak sme s malými komplikáciami konečne vychytali našu kamarátku a vyrazili k nej domkov taxíkom. Odmenou nám bolo výborné privítanie a nádherný výhľad z balkóna na celé Atény.
Kristina sa nám týmto ubytovaním chcela odvďačiť za pomoc v Egypte, keď ju organizácia s jej mládežníckym preukazom skúsila ubytovať v sedmotriednej budove a na špinavom matraci, dakde v púštnej časti kde by ju možno mohli postretnúť seriózne potiaže. Omz to nedopustila a ubytovala ju na niekoľko týždňov u seba doma a ja som ju v tom podporoval i počas našich zásnub, nakoľko boli očividne dobré priateľky a ja nie som žiarlivý kretén :)
Ukázalo sa , Kristinin otec je pán v rokoch, pracujúci ako lodný kapitán, a teda že žijú v slušných pomeroch / rozumej vyššia stredná trieda /. Grécka kuchyňa je chutná , farebná a plná výboných syrov a šťavnatej zeleniny. Nasledoval toľko potrebný spánok až do poludnia. Podvecer sme sa mali stretnut so Simonom a Portugalcami vidiet dake fajn pamiatky z Aten.
